Hong Kong and Macau Visitors Get 10,000 Gifts in Kaohsiung’s Tourism Push

As part of its tourism drive, the Kaohsiung City Government’s Tourism Bureau is preparing 10,000 “three-in-one” gift packages, which include a limited-edition Mayday one-day city pass, a discount booklet for food, fun, and entertainment, and a solar-powered ferry ticket on the Love River. These gifts will be given to Hong Kong and Macau visitors flying directly to Kaohsiung before the end of June.

The “one-day city pass” in the gift package allows unlimited rides on the metro, city buses, and ferries within a day, enabling tourists to get around Kaohsiung with ease. Furthermore, to encourage international visitors to stay longer, the city’s transport network also enables easy connections to two cultural bus routes—Hamasen and Old Town—as well as the Qimei–Meinong Express Bus. This makes deep exploration of Kaohsiung possible, with even places like Qishan and Meinong just a short trip away.

To support the “10,000 Hong Kong and Macau Visitors to Kaohsiung” campaign, China Airlines’ Hong Kong branch has launched themed tour packages for Hong Kong travelers, including the “Incredible Heroes Film Location Tour” and the “Cycling Lifestyle Tour.” It will also organize the “100-strong Hong Kong High School Youth Pioneer Group” to explore Kaohsiung. Additionally, EVA Air plans to roll out “Travel to Kaohsiung – Great Gifts Await” and “A Pilgrimage to the Buddha Memorial Center” itineraries during the Easter and Qingming holidays in Macau at the beginning of April, and again during the Buddha’s Birthday holiday at the end of April. TransAsia Airways is also attracting Macau visitors with its “Return to Kaohsiung, Endless Fun” campaign.
