The “Titanic Memorial Museum” celebrates its opening with a light show on 4/7

The world’s largest “Titanic Memorial Museum” (Titanic Belfast) will hold a celebratory opening light show at 9 PM local UK time on April 7 (4 AM Beijing Time on April 8) in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Those unable to attend in person can watch the approximately 40-minute event live via visitbritain.com, VistBritain.tv, and the Love UK Facebook page.

Belfast is the hometown of the Titanic and the largest industrial city on the island of Northern Ireland. The Titanic Memorial Museum, built at a cost of £97 million, opened with great fanfare on March 31 this year and has attracted over 100,000 visitors. Guests can explore the construction process and related stories of the Titanic through the museum’s innovative interactive exhibits and special effects.

With the opening of the Titanic Memorial Museum and the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking this year, new Titanic-related attractions have also opened in various locations. These include “Titanic and Liverpool: the Untold Story” at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and a new 1:25 scale model of the Titanic on display at the SeaCity Museum in Southampton.

The Titanic Memorial Museum is open from 9 AM to 7 PM Monday to Saturday, and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sundays between April and September. Between October and March, it is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. It is closed from December 24 to 26 for the Christmas holidays. Adult tickets cost £13.50, with a 5% discount available for online purchases.
