The New 55-Tub Hot Spring Resort – Xiamen Shengzhixiang Days Inn

Xiamen is home to many hot spring resorts, and the number of open-air tubs in these resorts just keeps growing. The sodium bicarbonate springs emerging from Tingxi Town supply abundant hot water to nearby hot spring hotels, and Shengzhixiang Days Inn Hot Spring Resort is one of them, featuring 55 hot spring tubs.

The 55 tubs in Shengzhixiang’s open-air hot spring park serve different functions and are divided into areas such as the Herbal Hot Spring Zone, Wellness Hot Spring, and Detox & Beauty Zone. These tubs, varying in size, are spread across the landscaped public hot spring area. Here, you’ll find ginger tubs, female ginseng herb-infused tubs, white liquor tubs, and red wine tubs. There’s also a heated brick bed made of volcanic rock where visitors can rest after their soak. Beneath the brick bed, warm spring water flows to keep it cozy.

Shengzhixiang is built against a mountain, with a nearby forest rich in natural resources. Visitors can enjoy an easy mountain hike or listen to the sounds of birdsong while soaking in the tubs. After all, building open-air tubs may not be too difficult for a resort, but maintaining the natural ecology to attract birds to nest here is something not every resort can achieve.
