Star Pisces' inaugural annual voyage unveils a new Matsu tour itinerary

Star Cruises’ Star Pisces will set sail from Keelung to Matsu on May 9 this (2012) year. This is another newly launched outlying island tour after previous trips to Hualien, Kaohsiung, Okinawa, Ishigaki Island, and Yonaguni Island. The full-year sailing schedule for Star Pisces, starting from Taiwan, also grandly commenced on April 12 to October 26 this year. All three-day-two-night itineraries (excluding August) booked before the end of April are eligible for a 35% discount off the original price.

The Matsu voyages departing on May 9 and June 20 are newly packaged creative itineraries by Star Cruises following the Penghu route launched in 2010. The three-day-two-night Matsu holiday allows passengers to board the ship starting at 7 p.m. to enjoy meals and leisure facilities. During these days, the ship will also feature performances such as French fantasy magic shows, belly dancing, Russian luxury shows, or music trios. On land, the Southern Matsu itinerary includes visits to the world’s tallest “Matsu Statue,” the “Beihai Tunnel,” the “Matsu Distillery,” and sampling authentic “Matsu-style cuisine.” In Northern Matsu, activities include hiking up “Beishan,” the highest peak, exploring the “Wusha Beihai Tunnel,” and visiting the representative cluster of Minnan-style architecture in “Qinbi Village.” The Southern and Northern Matsu tours are priced at NT$1,700 per person (NT$1,600 for children aged 2–12). After disembarking, those wishing to explore independently can arrange their own itineraries.

You can also decide during the day whether to go ashore, as long as you return to the ship by the designated time.
