Love the Earth: Dabagan Forest Month for Environmental Protection

Global warming and climate anomalies make energy conservation and carbon reduction urgent. Caring for the Earth is also the responsibility of every global citizen. Covering an area of 17 hectares, Dabagan has been dedicated to preserving the ecological environment for many years. According to data calculated by the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs based on IPCC standards, tropical forests absorb approximately 12–30 metric tons of carbon dioxide per hectare annually. Based on Taiwan’s forest composition changes, the figure is about 20.2 tons per year. With around 17 hectares, Dabagan absorbs approximately 343 metric tons of CO₂ each year. For the past 20 years, Dabagan has quietly contributed to the Earth, and now we invite you to join the “Forest Care Month” event.

Dabagan Forest is home to over 600 plant species and contains a phytoncide content of 20,000 PPM (compared to about 2,000 PPM in Da’an Park). It is the only resort in Taiwan that combines “low-altitude tropical rainforest” with “premium hot springs.” Just 25 minutes from the Sanxia Interchange via the National Freeway No. 3, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enter another hidden paradise. Following the stream upstream, you’ll find a rare and pristine wellness sanctuary — the “Dabagan Forest Hot Spring Resort.” We welcome you here to experience the wonders of the rainforest and hot springs.

To celebrate Earth Day, Dabagan Forest Hot Spring Resort launches the “Forest Care Month” promotion. The campaign runs from April 22 to May 31, encouraging the public to connect with forests and nature. Admission is free for one person when three people visit together. Additionally, guests who bring their own toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, body wash, comb, razor, shower cap, towel, bath towel) and inform us at booking time will receive a gift worth NT$1,410 per room. The gift includes one bottle of 1918 facial cleanser, one box of hot spring mud mask, and eco-friendly small gifts. Thank you for caring for the Earth. To further support Earth Day’s energy-saving and carbon-reduction goals, Dabagan will turn off its external signboard lights one hour earlier (10:00 PM) during April 22–May 31.
