Attention, Chibi Maruko-chan fans！The Chibi Maruko-chan themed restaurant now features Chibi Maruko-chan in cat ears and Tama-chan in cat ears.

The first officially licensed overseas Chibi Maruko-chan themed restaurant opened last October (2016). After more than four months of operation, the restaurant recently underwent a minor renovation to coincide with the promotion of the “Chibi Maruko-chan in Cat Ears Series.” Not only does it feature the super cute feline version of “Chibi Maruko-chan in cat ears,” but also Tama-chan in cat ears, Hanawa-chan in cat ears, and Noguchi-chan in cat ears appearing on the walls and tables—adorableness overload. There’s also a giant Chibi Maruko-chan cat plush doll for everyone to take photos with.

In line with the Chibi Maruko-chan in Cat Ears Series, the restaurant has also introduced several new dishes, including Cat Paw Salmon Fillet Risotto, Chibi Maruko-chan Cat Style Grilled Eel Rice, Spanish Lobster Seafood Risotto, Vanilla Tomahawk Pork Chop, and Beetroot Coral Mushroom Risotto. Among them, the Cat Paw Salmon Fillet Risotto and the Chibi Maruko-chan Cat Style Grilled Eel Rice feature the latest designs from the Chibi Maruko-chan in Cat Ears Series. The owner also mentioned that it’s rare for themed restaurants to offer high-cost grilled eel rice.

In addition, to tie in with the Chibi Maruko-chan in Cat Ears Series, customers who spend over NT$2,000 in the restaurant will receive a set of five different cat series badges as a gift. As for the merchandise corner, there are also Chibi Maruko-chan cat plush toys, floor mats, keychains, and other souvenirs—fans, beware of emptying your wallets.
