Taipei 101 Chairman Lin Hongming personally presented the limited-edition Taipei 101 commemorative liquor — 33-year-old aged sorghum wine — as well as a souvenir lucky bag worth NT$50,000. Moreover, this lucky winner can bring one companion to visit the Taipei 101 Observatory free of charge an unlimited number of times within one year. Deputy Director of the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Chang Hsi-tsung, also presented a commemorative EasyCard on behalf of the bureau. Director of the Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism, Chao Hsin-ping, also gave gifts including a Taipei 101-shaped commemorative cup and a commemorative T-shirt.
In addition to welcoming the 10 millionth lucky visitor, Taipei 101 is also offering various exclusive souvenir discount promotions starting today. In addition, during the month of May, which is Mother’s Day month, when children bring their mothers to the observatory, mothers can enjoy an exclusive discount — NT$220 per mother, and accompanying children can enjoy a discounted ticket price of NT$400 (original price NT$450, ID card of the Republic of China required).

Over the past seven-plus years of operation, the Taipei 101 Observatory has seen record-breaking visitor numbers, reaching 1.89 million visitors in 2011. On March 27 of this year (2011), it broke the single-day record for the first time with over 9,000 visitors, recording 9,177 visitors in one day. Now, reaching the new milestone of 10 million cumulative visitors also represents a shared glory for all Taiwanese.
