Summer Hot Spring Fun: The Hot Spring Food Carnival Launches in “Hot” Style

Soak in hot springs even in summer? That’s right. Starting now, the Tourism Bureau is launching the “Taiwan Hot Spring Food Carnival.” Just upload your blissful hot spring photos to the website, and you could win an afternoon tea session with “Sasha.” Meanwhile, the “Taiwan Hot Spring Food Discount Passport,” which received widespread acclaim last year, allows bathers to enjoy a “second person free” hot spring soak at any of Taiwan’s 41 hot spring hotels until August 31, simply by presenting the coupon found on the back page of the passport.

This summer, to boost the number of hot spring visitors, the Tourism Bureau is promoting an off-season campaign called “Spring & Summer Beauty Soaks—Find the Hottest, Most Stylish, and Most ‘Kawaii’ Happy Soaking Moments.” Running from June 5 to August 15, participants can upload their hot spring photos to the campaign’s official website (www1.tvbs.com.tw/project/ad/spa) to join the photo contest. The top three winners and the public vote winner will not only receive free hot spring accommodation vouchers, but also get to enjoy an afternoon tea with event ambassador “Sasha,” as well as be featured in travel magazines. All voters will also receive three raffle entries, with prizes including an iPad2 and accommodation vouchers.
