Pochacco is opening a hot pot restaurant in Taichung – Ushi no Tane Forest Hot Pot begins trial operations on January 24

Attention Ushi no Tane fans in Taichung: the adorable Ushi no Tane characters are coming to town with a new hot pot restaurant. Following the success of the Ushi no Tane-themed "Ushi no Tane's Secret Garden Café & Light Meals," which opened in 2014 and sparked a wave of themed dining, the next location after two stores in Taipei will be the hot pot-themed "Ushi no Tane Forest Hot Pot" in Taichung. Trial operations are scheduled from the evening of January 24 to January 27.

The soup bases at Ushi no Tane Forest Hot Pot are made using fresh, pesticide-free vegetables, carefully processed through multiple steps to bring out the most authentic flavors of the ingredients. The restaurant also offers especially cute shaped soup cubes, with one limited-edition flavor available each month and daily limited sales.

In addition, staffing during the trial period is still being arranged, so “half-price discounts” will be offered, with only 20 guests allowed per session. The restaurant asks for fans’ understanding. Phone reservations are not accepted during the trial period; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Morning sessions open for registration at 10:00, and evening sessions at 17:00.
