Valentine's Day Confession Video Contest: Grand Prize Is a Round-Trip Flight for Two to Tokyo

The annual Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, is coming up on August 23rd. Taipei City will also hold a Valentine’s video submission event, accepting entries from now until August 6th. The contest is calling for the most romantic and creative confession videos. The winning videos will be projected and played on the façade of the Taipei City Hall on Qixi Festival, August 23rd, with opportunities to win prizes such as round-trip tickets to Tokyo and Hong Kong.

The “2012 Taipei Valentine’s” event will take place on August 23–24 at the Civic Plaza in front of Taipei City Hall. Prior to the event, the “2012 Taipei Valentine’s Video Submission Contest” will be held, themed around “Taipei’s Beautiful Waters.” It is divided into three categories: “Proposal & Confession Group” (unmarried couples), “Couples’ Confession Group” (married couples), and “Creative Confession Group” (open to all). Videos must be within 90 seconds in length, and filming must take place within Taipei City.

Each category will have rankings from 1st to 10th place, as well as 5 honorable mentions. The top three works from each group will be projected on the west exterior wall of Taipei City Hall on Qixi Festival. The grand prize winner will receive a round-trip flight for two to Tokyo, while second and third place winners will receive round-trip flights for two to Hong Kong. In addition, on the evenings of August 23–24, Civic Plaza will feature soft love songs, stunning 3D and interactive projections, along with a sea of twinkling lights, making it the perfect dating spot in Taipei.
