Registration for the Kinmen Tunnels Music Festival is now open

Held for three consecutive years、The world’s only “Kinmen Tunnels Music Festival” will present a total of six concerts on October 13–14. This year, cellist Chang Cheng-chieh will serve as artistic director, and he will be joined by outstanding Austrian violinist Regina Florey, offering visitors a romantic and elegant musical feast. Registration is by appointment and is now open. Fans who wish to enjoy music in the tunnels shouldn’t miss out.

The Kinmen Tunnels Music Festival was first held in 2009 and is now entering its fourth year. Built for military use, the Chiahshan Tunnel features granite caverns that act as a natural amplifier, along with picturesque shimmering waters and a romantic, elegant musical experience, providing visitors with a uniquemusicalexperience.This year’s concerts will be held on10the13and14with three events scheduled each day. The first session runs from10:30to11:10; the second from11:30in the morning to12:10at noon; and the third from13:30in the afternoon to14:10. In total, there will be6concerts over the two days.
Musicians participating in this year’s concerts include Wu Ting-yu, current principal violinist of the National Symphony Orchestra; Ho Chun-heng, principal viola of the Taipei Symphony Orchestra; and Jiang Chi-chen, known for her heavenly voice in Western vocal music. The first day will feature performances primarily pairing soprano vocals with string instruments, while the second day will highlight the popular string quartet performances.
Registration is now open, with a limit of 250 attendees per session. Participants must be aged 7 or above; those between 7 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the unique nature of the venue, elderly individuals are advised to ensure their mobility is safe before registering.
