The Sun Moon Lake Mountain Wilderness Music & Fireworks Festival creates a spectacular outdoor audiovisual feast

The North Face, in collaboration with the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration, is combining the Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Festival series of events to hold a trio of new outdoor activities—the Sacred Mountain Challenge, Lakeside Hiking, and the Music & Fireworks Festival—all on National Day, October 10, encouraging the public to enjoy a healthy holiday at Sun Moon Lake.

The day begins with the high-altitude Sacred Mountain Warrior Challenge kicking off the event, followed by an afternoon hike led by the brand’s annual ambassador and adventurer Chen Yanbo, offering stunning views of Sun Moon Lake. As evening falls, the Mountain Wilderness Music Festival features top-tier performers such as Dai Ailing and Wei Lian’an, who will take turns thrilling the crowd, making for a joyful autumn outing. In the comfortable month of September, The North Face is also launching a range of multifunctional autumn and winter gear: breathable quick-dry shirts and lightweight hiking and trail running shoes, making fall sports and outdoor adventures more relaxing and enjoyable.

On the day of the Mountain Wilderness Music & Fireworks Festival, free entry will be available starting at 5:30 PM at the Ita Thao Pier in Sun Moon Lake. A lineup of powerful vocalists including Dai Ailing, Wei Lian’an, the Wong Fu Band, Chén Fāngyǔ, Fun4, and IO will take turns delivering high-energy performances, creating the most exciting outdoor experience. A star-studded lineup will break the silence of Sun Moon Lake’s autumn night, paired with dazzling, colorful fireworks, set to thrill the mountainside with the most lively atmosphere.
