The "Majestic Zhou ― Western Zhou Culture Special Exhibition" at the Palace Museum offers free entry on weekends and evenings.

From now until January 7 next year, the Palace Museum is presenting the grand "Majestic Zhou ― Western Zhou Culture Special Exhibition," revealing the mysteries of the Western Zhou Dynasty from 3,000 years ago. The 176 sets of rare unearthed cultural relics include almost all the most representative artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi Province over the past sixty years. The Palace Museum stated that out of the 176 sets, as many as 54 sets are classified as first-grade cultural relics on the mainland, making this exhibition unprecedented in scale. There are even reports of mainland relic enthusiasts organizing group trips to Taiwan to view the exhibition. In addition, starting tomorrow (the 19th), the museum will extend the closing time of the main exhibition hall on Fridays and Saturdays to 9:00 PM, and from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, domestic visitors can enter the main hall for free upon presenting their ID.

The Western Zhou Culture Special Exhibition brings together precious collections from the Shaanxi History Museum, Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, Baoji Bronze Ware Museum, Baoji Zhouyuan Museum, Qishan County Zhouyuan Museum, Qishan County Museum, Fufeng County Museum, and Fengxiang County Museum. These include bronze ware inscribed with long texts, recently unearthed oracle bones, ceramics, shell artifacts, as well as numerous exquisite jade and gold artifacts from the Rui State tomb site.

This exhibition is held in Exhibition Rooms 103, 105, and 107 on the first floor of the main hall of the Palace Museum. In addition to the specially approved star pieces "He Zun" and "Qiang Pan" brought to Taiwan, it is particularly noteworthy that the "He Fu Gui" and "He Fu Zhong" commissioned by King Li of Zhou, unearthed in Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province, have also come to Taiwan. They are being exhibited together with the Palace Museum’s own "Zong Zhou Zhong" commissioned by King Li of Zhou, offering visitors an insight into the ceremonial music system of the Zhou Dynasty and further reflecting the Zhou people's reverence for ancestors and the heavens. The Palace Museum emphasized that exhibiting these three artifacts — the "He Fu Gui," "He Fu Zhong," and "Zong Zhou Zhong" — all personally commissioned by King Li of Zhou and now housed on both sides of the Taiwan Strait — is an unprecedented event.
