Themed Itineraries in Eastern Taiwan Unveiled – Buy One Night, Get One Free at Hotels

The seven major themed classic travel routes of the “Shining Eastern Taiwan 101 Featured Pearl Highlight Stores” campaign have been launched, covering valley wilderness, azure coast, art & romance, island vibes, Taroko route, and indigenous tribal areas. Currently, discounts are also available at 32 featured pearl highlight stores, including a “Buy One Night, Get One Night Free” offer at Hualien Howard Plaza Hotel. Additionally, from now until December 31, visitors to the 101 featured pearl highlight stores in Eastern Taiwan can not only participate in a stamp-collecting promotion for prizes and lucky draws but also enjoy an extra raffle opportunity when visiting stores by bicycle during the Taiwan Bike Festival (November 10–18)!

To promote tourism development in Eastern Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has organized the “Shining Eastern Taiwan 101 Featured Pearl Highlight Stores” selection campaign this year. The public is invited to help identify unique stores in the region. Bilingual (Chinese and English) informational brochures featuring the 101 highlighted stores are available at major airports, Taiwan Railway Station tourist service centers, the featured pearl highlight stores themselves, the Tourism Bureau’s Eastern and Central Region Branches, and can also be downloaded directly from the campaign’s official website (www.101pearls.com.tw).

Until the end of this year, simply print the promotional page for the pearl stores from the official website to enjoy discounts at 32 stores, including complimentary desserts, winter melon tea, welcome gifts, discounts, spending-based freebies, and special offers such as a “Buy One Night, Get One Night Free” deal at international-grade hotels. Furthermore, from November 1 to December 31 this year, visitors who patronize these stores can collect one pearl stamp per visit. Once you’ve collected stamps from three different categories, you can redeem souvenirs, accommodation vouchers, and other prizes at any visitor center of the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration.
