Registration now open for the Yilan Organic Countryside Experience at the Sanxing Silver Willow Festival

This year’s Sanxing Silver Willow Festival in Yilan will be held on December 29. The Sanxing Farmers’ Association has specially planned unique experience itineraries, scheduled for four sessions on December 20, 21, 27, and 28. The one-day tour originally priced at NT$1,500 — “Fortune & Prosperity Countryside Experience Tour” — is now offered at a special discounted price of just NT$999 by the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association.

Duan Pengfu, head of the Promotion Division at the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association in Yilan, said that agricultural products from Sanxing such as green onions, silver willow, high-mountain vegetables, and magnolia tea have long been recognized for their quality. With rural experiences becoming increasingly popular in Taiwan, the association hopes that through this countryside itinerary, visitors can experience the beautiful mountains and waters of Sanxing and create unique memories of rural life.

The “Fortune & Prosperity” experience tour includes visiting silver willow fields and vegetable gardens to harvest the luckiest silver willow and festive mustard greens and radishes; for lunch, the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association will prepare a hearty and authentic Sanxing Green Onion set meal for participants to enjoy. In the afternoon, visitors can DIY their own personalized natural lip balm, visit an organic dream village that adheres to toxin-free, pesticide-free, and chemical fertilizer-free farming methods, and take part in fun rice noodle DIY activities to relive nostalgic old-time flavors.
