Each year at the start of the year, European train pass prices are adjusted, and the 2013 fares have been gradually released, with increases ranging from approximately 3% to 11% across various ticket types. The most significant increase is for the Eastern Triangle Train Pass, which allows easy travel between cities such as Vienna, Budapest, and Prague or Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague, and has become one of the increasingly popular options in recent years. In addition, the Germany and Switzerland train passes, beloved by travelers in our country, along with the highly favored Eurail Global Pass covering 23 countries (with Turkey being added in 2013), and the Select Pass covering any 3, 4, or 5 countries in Europe, all have seen around a 3% price hike.

Since most European train passes are valid for six months after the date of issue, FlyDuck Travel recommends that travelers planning to depart for Europe in the first half of next year secure their tickets by the end of December this year. This way, they can use the 2012 fare to travel by train in 2013. Additionally, before Dec 28, the Eurail Global Pass covering 23 countries and the Select Pass covering any 3, 4, or 5 countries in Europe are both on promotion at 20% off, but this offer requires the pass to be used by the end of March next year. Travelers planning to visit Europe during the winter break or Lunar New Year can save a considerable amount on travel expenses by taking advantage of this discount.
