The renowned private resort island Hayman, located in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, will host free weddings for couples who get engaged here in February 2013. Couples who pledge their lives to each other here will be invited back to this paradise to tie the knot. Hayman will arrange an officiant, a charming ceremony venue and decor, as well as professional wedding planners to take care of everything. This year, internationally acclaimed fashion designer Vera Wang will provide a gift voucher worth 1,000 AUD (approximately 30,880 TWD) for the brides-to-be to shop for their wedding dresses at her flagship store at Sydney’s InterContinental Hotel, including fitting services.

Born and raised in New York, Vera Wang has always been at the forefront of the fashion industry. After opening her flagship bridal boutique at New York’s Carlyle Hotel in 1990, she quickly transformed the bridal industry. To celebrate the love-filled month of February, Hayman now offers the “Romantic Escape” package, starting from 1,455 AUD (approximately 45,000 TWD) per person. The package includes three nights’ accommodation, a romantic three-course dinner for two, a daily buffet breakfast at the Coral Sea-viewing Azure Restaurant, a one-hour couple’s spa treatment at Hayman Spa, as well as activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, and sailing on a catamaran.

On Valentine’s Day (February 14), Hayman’s gourmet restaurant Fontaine will create an unforgettable evening for guests, featuring a seven-course fine dining experience prepared by renowned chefs, with each dish paired with carefully selected premium wines from the resort’s sommelier’s cellar.
