Theme parks launch winter vacation specials; Tourism Bureau adds grand prize draw

           

Starting today (the 21st) through February 9, the “Early Bird 100, 100% Fun” campaign allows the first 100 elementary school students entering each day, accompanied by one full-price adult, to purchase their admission ticket for just NT$100. To keep the winter vacation promotion momentum going, the Tourism Bureau has added the “New Year Joy Has Arrived” sharing program. From February 10 to February 17, anyone visiting a theme park in Taiwan can take a photo with the “New Year Joy Has Arrived” event standee and upload it to the campaign website to enter for a chance to win prizes worth a total of NT$100,000—including a 60T TV and other popular rewards. Theme parks are also contributing by offering 1,000 free tickets, allowing those who upload photos to give five of their Facebook friends the chance to win a bundle of five free tickets each. Leofoo Village Theme Park is launching the “Animal Madness Party” theme event during the winter vacation and Spring Festival, featuring animal families and four major themed shows. A pair of rare and adorable Taiwanese black bear twins will make their debut in early February. Performances include Taiwan’s first-ever “Battle of the Winds Animal Parade,” a grand procession combining animals and dancers, a brand-new “Wild West Cowboy Show” starring Peppa Pig, and amazing bird flight performances at the Flight Tribe. Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village	Taiwan’s largest cherry blossom event — Special promotions for the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Cherry Blossom Festival	Ticket Discounts 1. From January 19 to January 31, 2013, during the winter vacation period, tickets are specially priced at just 580 yuan. 2.
