Spring Festival Travel Rush: Kaohsiung's Xingda Port Promotes Water Activities to Attract Visitors

The nine-day Spring Festival holiday sees cities and counties across Taiwan competing to roll out outdoor activities to attract travelers during the festive season. Located in Kaohsiung City, Xingda Port will organize a variety of water recreation activities at Lover’s Wharf from February 10 (the first day of the Lunar New Year) to February 17 (the eighth day). The events include inviting professional instructors to showcase impressive water skiing and heavy sailboat demonstration performances, as well as offering paid experiences for visitors to try personal watercraft and heavy sailboat water sports, along with harbor sightseeing cruises to enjoy the sea breeze.

Lover’s Wharf at Xingda Port, selected as one of the top ten classic charming fishing harbors in the country’s second Classic Fishing Ports selection, boasts a beautiful harbor and romantic sunsets, which have long attracted couples and families to enjoy the scenery. During this Lunar New Year period, Lover’s Wharf at Xingda Port will hold a local seafood marketing and sales event from February 10 to 17, between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM. The event will sell popular local seafood products such as golden mullet roe, Zhizhi Zhi Le series products, shrimp sausage, bamboo A jellyfish? Small ?, and other specialty items. In addition, the harbor will feature the “A? Long - Faro Sailboat Theme Restaurant” facing the blue sea of the port, allowing visitors to enjoy delicious food while taking in the beautiful maritime views, accompanied by live music performances, creating an atmosphere akin to dining at a seaside restaurant abroad.

 

As for the highly praised water activities, water skiing performances and personal watercraft experiences will take place from February 10 to 17. The personal watercraft experience costs NT$200 for five minutes; harbor cruises and heavy sailboat experiences will begin on February 12, with durations ranging from 30 to 40 minutes, priced at NT$200 and NT$350 respectively. All water activities will be available daily from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM during the event period.
