Malaysia Airlines offers early-bird discount: round-trip economy class to Penang from just RM4,888

Malaysia Airlines is launching a three-week spring early-bird promotion from now until March 13 to celebrate its official entry into the Oneworld alliance on February 1, 2013. Consumers can purchase economy class tickets for travel from April 8 to June 25, 2013, and business class tickets for travel from April 8 to August 31, 2013, during the promotion. The most competitive round-trip economy class fares start from NT$4,888 for destinations including Penang, while the most competitive round-trip business class fares start from NT$9,888.

In addition to Kuala Lumpur, which will increase flights to 11 per week starting February 19, and Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, which will increase to 7 per week, this promotion also includes discounted fares for all major routes in West Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Australia, and the Maldives. Furthermore, Malaysia Airlines has raised the free checked baggage allowance for all cabin classes starting now: first class, business class, and economy class have been increased from the original 40kg, 30kg, and 20kg to 50kg, 40kg, and 30kg respectively, allowing passengers traveling with Malaysia Airlines to avoid concerns about excess baggage and enjoy more shopping freedom.
