EVA Air’s Kagoshima Route Launches April 3, Offering a New Option for Cherry Blossom Viewing in Japan

As Japan’s cherry blossom season approaches, the vibrant and brilliant pink showers of blossoms will drive a wave of spring tourism to Japan. Starting April 3, EVA Air will operate two direct flights per week to Okayama, Japan—on Wednesdays and Saturdays—offering more options for travelers planning to view the cherry blossoms. It also makes it more convenient to visit the hometown of Momotaro and see Korakuen Garden, one of Japan’s three most famous gardens.

Regarding Okayama, which is just a 45-minute Shinkansen ride from Osaka, most travelers only know about Korakuen. In fact, Okayama has much more to offer to visitors who love traveling in Japan, including its architecture, culture, food, and lifestyle goods. For example, there’s the mystical and spiritually rich “Saijo Inari Shrine,” where the variety of omamori (protective amulets) on sale is almost unimaginable. There’s also the “Manekineko Museum” with the largest collection of lucky cats, and Okayama Castle, where you can try on gorgeous ancient kimono for free—all of which make for new discoveries even for frequent Japan travelers.

 

In addition, the Okayama City official website offers detailed Traditional Chinese content, including comprehensive introductions to each attraction and recommended itineraries.
