High-speed rail tickets for the Qingming holiday are now available for pre-sale

The 2013 Qingming Festival has a four-day consecutive holiday. Passengers planning to take the high-speed rail to return home can starting today use the 24-hour high-speed rail partner convenience store network ticketing system, the "Taiwan High Speed Rail T Express" mobile quick ticketing service, voice reservation system, and other services to pre-purchase round-trip tickets from April 3 to April 8. During the transport peak period, the high-speed rail will continue to offer non-reserved seating. On April 3 and April 7, the number of non-reserved cars on all trains will be increased to four.

During the transport peak period from April 3 to April 8, Taiwan High Speed Rail will add 67 southbound and 62 northbound services, totaling 129 additional train services, while suspending 6 commuter-hour services. In total, 915 services will be offered over six days, providing 904,935 seats. Of these, 782 services will be eligible for the "Early Bird Discount," accounting for 85% of the total number of services over the six days. Passengers booking tickets between 8 and 28 days before departure may enjoy Early Bird discounts of 35%, 20%, or 10%.

 

During the transport peak period, the high-speed rail will continue to offer non-reserved seating. On April 3 and April 7, the number of non-reserved cars on all trains will be increased to four. Passengers holding periodical tickets, return tickets, or EasyCard co-branded cards can directly tap in to board. During the transport peak period, limited upgrades to business class, special discounts for university students on designated services, school trip packages, and group ticket discounts for 30 or more people on regular services will be suspended.
