Every year when early spring warms up, the calla lilies of Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan are already nestled among the misty valleys. Though they shy away from the direct sunlight, when the sun peeks through the clouds after the rain, the elegant white blooms stretch their petals eagerly. This is the season, and it’s enough to make anyone’s heart flutter.

This year’s Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival has the theme “Love Around the Corner” – the 2013 Zhuzihu Calla Lily Festival plans to create calla lily landscapes themed around famous love stories from ancient and modern times, both in China and abroad, across various farms. At the entrance parking lot of Zhuzihu, a heart-shaped calla lily installation will be set up for visitors to take photos.Additionally, there will be in-depth guided tours to experience Zhuzihu and one-day trip experiences, combined with music and art events. Small musical performances will be held at various farms on weekend afternoons, offering the public a delightful feast of music and flower seas.

Friends who enjoy filmmaking can also participate in the microfilm creation competition themed “Love Around the Corner,” capturing the most romantic, sweet, and joyful stories in Zhuzihu, the calla lily fields, or at the mountain town’s hidden corners. Through dynamic videos and online sharing, the beauty of Zhuzihu will be fully showcased.
