Spring Scream Music Festival heads to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan – kicks off April 5

Taiwan’s largest annual outdoor music event — the “Spring Scream Music Festival” — will not only feature the “Kenting Spring Scream Music Festival” at Hengchun Airport on April 5 and 6, but this year the festival will also expand beyond Taiwan for the first time, appearing in two overseas cities, Singapore and Hong Kong, with different lineups. The inaugural “Spring Scream Singapore” will take place on May 4 at Gardens by the Bay, a famous Singapore attraction near Marina Bay Sands, becoming the first international edition of Spring Scream. Meanwhile, “Spring Scream Hong Kong” is scheduled to be held in July.

This year’s Kenting Spring Scream Music Festival is divided into two main themes: the Spring Scream Main Stage and the Spring Scream Hengchun EDM. The main stage will feature performances by artists such as Chen Qizhen, Hebe Tien, Olivia, Joanna Wang, Zhang Zhenyue, and Yoga Lin, while bands and groups include Sodagreen, Chairman, MC HotDog, Da Mouth, and Matzka MJ116. The EDM stage will showcase German EDM legend ATB, Dutch trance champion RANK 1, and superstar DJ Super8 & Tab. “Spring Scream Singapore” will follow a one-day format, starting at 2:30 PM and running until 4:00 AM, featuring back-to-back performances by artists including Wu Bai, Zhang Zhenyue, Jam Hsiao, Chen Qizhen, Olivia, and Joanna Wang — each performing for one hour in a concert format until 10:00 PM. The EDM party will then begin at 10:45 PM, headlined by Germany’s ATB, joined by Dutch trance newcomer Jochen Miller and American progressive DJ Markus Schulz, making their debut at the first-ever Spring Scream Singapore.

 

As for this year’s Spring Scream Awards, registration is open from now until March 15. The grand prize includes a cash award of NT$15,000, the opportunity to perform on the main stage of the Kenting Spring Scream Music Festival on April 6 alongside mainstream artists and bands, as well as round-trip airfare and accommodation to Singapore Spring Scream, plus a performance slot on the main stage there.

 

In addition, this year’s Kenting Spring Scream Music Festival has arranged free shuttle buses, with two routes: Hengchun Airport to Kenting Main Street and Hengchun Airport to Swan Lake. Shuttle bus service will run from 3:00 PM on April 5 to 4:00 AM on April 6, and from 3:00 PM on April 6 to 4:00 AM on April 7. For more details, visit: www.spring-wave.com.
