An older woman–younger man romance begins with a broken high heel

 

A young and handsome photographer, Chika Yagami (played by Eiji Wentz), and his younger sister, Rea (played by Mirai Moriyama), travel to France. However, upon arriving in Paris, Rea ditches him to meet her boyfriend alone. Lost and unfamiliar with the city, Chika gets lost by the Seine and unexpectedly meets a local freelance female writer, Aoi (played by Miho Nakayama). The two clash at first but gradually warm up to each other—after Aoi accidentally steps on Chika’s dropped passport and breaks the heel of her own shoe. Chika kindly fixes her high heel, and Aoi, in gratitude, leaves her contact information, offering help if he ever needs it.

 

 

Unable to reach his sister, Chika calls Aoi and the two agree to have dinner together. After a few drinks, Chika escorts the intoxicated Aoi home, only to realize he has forgotten the name of his hotel and is unable to return. He ends up staying at her place for the night. Meanwhile, his sister finally reunites with her long-lost boyfriend (played by Ayano Go), though his attitude takes a subtle turn...

 

Amid the romantic ambiance of the City of Love, Chika and Aoi grow closer. But Chika quietly discovers that Aoi harbors deep-seated emotional scars... Through heartfelt conversations that last through the night, both begin to understand each other better. Why did Aoi choose to live alone in Paris? Should Chika continue pursuing photography? As they embrace in a foreign land, their thoughts align—they don’t want to part again...

 

 

The next day, Chika accompanies Aoi on an interview as her photographer. Throughout the day, Aoi wears the same broken high heel, muttering to herself, “I’ll have to buy a new pair...” With Chika soon returning to Japan, will the two, whose hearts are connected through a single pair of high heels, be able to hold hands and walk forward together?
