Another country added to the working holiday list: Belgium opens applications on March 29

In recent years, working holidays have become a hot topic among many young students, who hope to experience foreign cultures and broaden their horizons through such programs. After negotiations between Taiwan and Belgium, the Taiwan–Belgium Working Holiday Program is set to officially launch on March 29, Youth Day. Each year, Taiwan and Belgium will provide 200 spots for youths aged 18 to 30 from the other country to participate in the program.

Historically, Belgium lies at the crossroads of European transportation and culture, making it not only highly accessible to other European countries but also a melting pot of diverse European traditions and customs, showcasing rich multicultural characteristics. Additionally, Belgium’s capital, Brussels, is home to the headquarters of major international organizations such as the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), giving the country significant political influence.
