TransAsia Airways Launches Inaugural Flight to Bangkok for Thai Songkran Festival

In January alone, the number of bilateral round trips between Taiwan and Thailand exceeded 35,000. With the upcoming Thai New Year in April, also known as the famous Songkran Festival, which coincides with the peak travel season in Thailand, tourist numbers are expected to rise further.
In view of the growing demand for travel between Taiwan and Thailand, TransAsia Airways will3month15launch its first flight to Bangkok. This marks the second major transit hub in Southeast Asia to open after Singapore, strengthening tourism and business exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand, establishing a denser air network connecting Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, and expanding its Asian flight route coverage.

Currently, there are6Japan routes, allowing passengers from Osaka arriving in Taiwan to transfer and continue to Bangkok, arriving by the evening of the same day; other routes allow transfers to Singapore. Similarly, passengers arriving in Taiwan from Singapore flights in Southeast Asia can transfer to TransAsia Airways’ early morning Japan routes to destinations such as Osaka and Hokkaido in Japan, while also bringing transit passengers into Taiwan, offering the most comfortable and convenient service.
