Get a Peninsula Hotel deal for Songkran in Bangkok

The vibrant and colorful Thai New Year is approaching. From April 10 to April 17, The Peninsula Bangkok, located along the Chao Phraya River, is launching the “Thai New Year Songkran Staycation Package.” In addition to enjoying luxurious accommodation and exclusive offers, guests can also immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere of Thai New Year and Songkran, experiencing the essence of local traditional culture.

The “Thai New Year Songkran Staycation Package” starts from 18,000 Thai Baht (approximately NT$19,110) for two nights, with a minimum consecutive stay of two nights. The rate includes two nights in a deluxe riverside room and daily American buffet breakfast for two. Additionally, during the Songkran festival from April 10 to 17 this year, apart from splashing water on each other, Thais also apply scented powder on each other’s faces as a form of blessing. The Peninsula Hotel will prepare a Songkran kit for each guest, including water guns for two, traditional Songkran attire, and scented powder, allowing guests to fully embrace the festive atmosphere.

 

The Songkran period is a great opportunity to understand Bangkok’s social traditions and authentic local customs. The Thai New Year Songkran Staycation Package includes two hours of free boat cruising along Bangkok’s inland waterways, offering a chance to experience the scenery of the Chao Phraya River community and the leisurely lifestyle passed down through generations.
