Situated in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, Huisun Forest Farm has uniquely abundant natural resources. Each spring-to-summer transition period draws thousands of fireflies to inhabit and breed, with countless glowing insects lighting up the forest. This year, Huisun Forest Farm has been awarded third place in the “Top 10 Firefly Viewing Spots” poll, jointly organized by the National Museum of Natural Science, the Xianglin Cultural and Educational Foundation, and the Endemic Species Research Institute. The public is invited to come and admire the forest’s “firefly river.”

Due to weather conditions, this year’s fireflies arrived about two weeks later than usual, but they are now gradually appearing. Their peak is expected around mid-May. To share the excitement of this lively firefly season, the “Huisun Forest Farm Firefly Season” event is now underway and will run until May 12. Visitors are welcome to come and enjoy the fireflies. To avoid crowds and enhance the viewing experience, special weekday discounts of 60% are offered. It is recommended that visitors book their trips on weekdays (Monday to Friday) to fully enjoy this natural light spectacle. During the firefly season, guided talks are held every evening at 6:30 PM. Through the engaging and informative sessions led by volunteer guides, visitors can gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of natural ecological conservation.
