After the Spring Festival holiday comes Valentine’s Day. Have you decided where to spend this romantic night? The New Taipei City Government has selected three stunning scenic bridges in the city, where waterfront beauty and nighttime light displays complement each other, creating the most romantic spots for the evening. Why not take a stroll during the holidays, enjoy the scenery, and participate in unique cultural and artistic activities nearby?

1. Crescent Bridge
Opened in 2014, Crescent Bridge quickly became a popular attraction. It is a pedestrian and bicycle-only scenic bridge that spans the Dahan River, connecting Banqiao and Xinzhuang Temple Street. Its “asymmetrical double-steel tied arch bridge” design is its most distinctive feature. At night, colorful light projections bathe the bridge, and its transparent walkway adds to its romantic charm, making it a favorite among photographers and the most popular photo spot in Taiwan.

2. Yangguang Bridge
Yangguang Bridge is New Taipei City’s first cross-river scenic bridge. Serving as a dedicated pedestrian and bicycle connection between Rhine Park on the right bank of the Xindian River and Sunshine Sports Park on the left bank, the bridge features an arched design that directly links the Ankeng end to Tangquan Overpass. At night, a meticulously crafted dynamic light show illuminates the Xindian River, making it a new landmark in the Xindian area.

3. Starlight Bridge
Located in the Xizhi area, Starlight Bridge is the first scenic bridge to span the Keelung River. Stretching 270 meters, its main pillars resemble a towering giant microphone pointing toward the sky. The tilted tower and bridge are adorned with dotted lights, creating a dazzling starry-night effect that inspired its name. Recently, the New Taipei City Water Resources Bureau has also developed a unique constellation park along the Keelung River in Xizhi, quickly establishing it as a new landmark in the area.
