Dreaming of taking romantic wedding photos like those in idol dramas atop the Taipei 101 Observation Deck is no longer just a dream. The Taipei 101 Observation Deck has now opened its doors to couples for photo shoots. All you need to do is purchase an entry ticket—no additional venue fee is required—and you can capture sweet moments within the observation deck. Additionally, the “Love at the Highest Point 2013 (Love You for a Lifetime) High-Altitude Wedding Photography Exhibition,” running from now until July 15, showcases the sweet times of couples on the observation deck through the lenses of 13 professional photographers. During the exhibition period, engaged couples or those getting married in 2013 can enjoy a “buy one get one free” ticket promotion (for Taiwanese citizens only, full-price tickets required) when presenting proof of engagement or a wedding invitation.

The Taipei 101 Observation Deck has opened for wedding photo shoots for the first time and has immediately attracted 13 top wedding photographers from the Greater Taipei area who have pulled out all the stops to compete. They all know that the observation deck is not an easy location to shoot in, especially in a world-class international tourist attraction bustling with people—it takes extra care to capture romantic wedding photos. The showcased wedding photos differ from typical outdoor shoots taken outside the LOVE sculpture at Taipei 101, riverside parks, Sishisi South Village, or the Xinyi Planning District. The photographers, with their unique vision, skillfully blend the couple, the theme “Love You for a Lifetime” in 2013, and the unique features of the observation deck into 13 distinctively styled wedding photography works. In addition, the observation deck also displays traditional Taiwanese, Hakka, and Indigenous wedding decorations, allowing visitors to experience the diversity of Taiwanese wedding customs.

The Taipei 101 Observation Deck offers a unique altitude and spatial sense exclusive to the Greater Taipei area. Whether it’s the bride’s flowing dress against the breezy backdrop on the 91st-floor outdoor observation deck at 390 meters above sea level, the intimate gaze between the couple bathed in the sunset glow on the 89th-floor indoor observation deck, the exchange of vows before the world’s largest tuned mass damper at Taipei 101, or the cleverly designed love corner in the stairwell on the 88th floor—each beautiful image is worth future couples planning their wedding photos taking the time to visit the Taipei 101 Observation Deck in advance.

In addition, couples wanting to take stunning wedding photos and enjoy scenes like those in idol dramas on the observation deck should remember to make a reservation three days in advance by calling the Taipei 101 Observation Deck ticket hotline (02-8101-8899). This not only allows the observation deck to arrange a private elevator for the couple, effectively saving shooting time, but also lets them enter as early as 8:00 AM for a vacant and peaceful shooting environment. After the observation deck officially opens at 9:00 AM, couples can also capture the romantic vibe of being “searching for her/him among the crowd.” The Taipei 101 Observation Deck, which is now open for wedding photos, does not charge a venue fee—only an entry ticket is needed, and reservations are required with a limit of five people. If couples require special entry times, they must inform Taipei 101 Observation Deck in advance. Those wishing to shoot on the day without prior notice will need to queue after purchasing tickets.
