High-speed rail tickets for Mid-Autumn Festival long weekend go on sale at midnight on August 22

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival features a four-day long weekend. Taiwan High Speed Rail will operate 62 additional southbound and 50 northbound services—totaling 112 extra trains—between September 18 and September 23 during the holiday transport period. It will also suspend 10 commuter trains during peak hours, providing a total of 905 services over the six-day period. Tickets for the Mid-Autumn Festival transport period will go on sale starting August 22.

Passengers can purchase round-trip tickets for the transport period from September 18 to September 23 in a single transaction starting at midnight on August 22 through 24-hour high-speed rail partner convenience stores, online booking, the T Express mobile app, the voice reservation system, or at ticket counters and vending machines at stations during operating hours. The "early bird discount" for the Mid-Autumn Festival transport period offers discounts of up to 65%, 80%, or 90% for tickets purchased between 8 and 28 days before departure.

 

Additionally, the transport period will continue to offer non-reserved seating, limited upgrades to business class, and discounted fares for standard class. Passengers with periodic tickets, fare cards, or EasyCard co-branded cards can enter stations directly using card readers.
