Lanew’s “Bull Run Festival” mass walk — Lamigirls cheer you on

Lanew, which has hosted 46 mass walking events over the past 13 years, has specially crafted its 47th mass walk as the “New Taipei’s Most Bullish Event — Taiwan Bull Run Festival.” It has invited the most popular Lamigirls to serve as promotional ambassadors, welcoming friends from all over Taiwan — whether it's the whole family, neighbors, or parents bringing their kids — to gather at the Breeze Canal Square in New Taipei’s Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park on October 5th, the most “bullish” outdoor spot, to walk together for health.

With 13 years of experience organizing mass walking events, Lanew has added a 4.2-kilometer mini marathon this year, offering participants a different fitness experience. This year, inspired by the cow horn motif from its corporate identity, the theme “Taiwan Bull Run Festival” was created, enthusiastically inviting the public to don cowhorn hats and charge forward, creating a uniquely Taiwanese scene of thousands of bulls galloping. On October 5th, Lamigirls will also appear in person to cheer on all participants.

 

Chen Kuo-chun, Director of New Taipei City Tourism Bureau, stated that in recent years, the most popular sports in Taiwan have been walking and running. New Taipei City boasts the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park, spanning 424 hectares — 1.5 times the size of New York’s Central Park and equivalent to 16 Da’an Forest Parks — making it perfect for walking, running, cycling, water activities, baseball, basketball, and more. In May this year, the city government held a walking event here, receiving an enthusiastic response from the public. The “Free to Play” group even praised it as a “super park,” where besides exercise, visitors can also enjoy natural ecology and waterfront scenery.

 

Registrations are now open at Lanew’s nationwide stores. From now until October 2nd, anyone capable of completing a 4.2km run or 8km walk is welcome to sign up. Whether you choose the mini marathon or the walk, registering and paying NT$499 will get you an activity crossbody pouch. Present your registration receipt at any Lanew store nationwide to get a NT$500 discount on designated products. Participants will also receive the shading cowhorn hats worn by Lamigirls, creating a spectacular scene of “thousands walking, thousands of bulls charging!” Groups of three or more friends and family who register together will receive “benefit coupons,” plus a group photo and extra raffle chances. Those who attend the event may also win a chance to take home NT$300,000 in cash.
