As the weather cools down, pink cherry blossoms are set to quietly bloom, drawing cherry blossom enthusiasts from across Taiwan. The Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village has introduced a month-long series of Cherry Blossom Season events, where visitors can even don yukatas for the experience—offering locals the chance to feel like they're in Japan without going abroad.
Scenic spots within the park feature fuji cherries, weeping cherries, and mountain cherries, with an estimated 5,000 cherry trees expected to be in full bloom around mid-to-late February. One of the best ways to enjoy the view is by taking the cable car up the mountain, overlooking the expanse of pink from the slopes, then following the cherry blossom map to stroll along the scenic route.

The official site also offers rentals of traditional Japanese yukatas and Japanese-style rickshaw services. Visitors can dress up in yukatas and ride premium human-pulled rickshaws to take in the cherry blossom views along the way—like traveling back in time to the Edo shogunate era. Beyond daytime blossom viewing and photos, there's also a romantic "night cherry blossom" experience. The nighttime cherry grove, illuminated by lights, creates a supremely romantic scene perfect for a date.
