However, parks across Taipei and Taichung have specific regulations, and it’s not allowed to barbecue freely in the parks. For Taipei and Taichung netizens looking to enjoy an outdoor night barbecue, consider heading to one of the following riverside parks and open park areas that allow barbecuing—but you’ll need to move fast, as good spots can disappear quickly. In Kaohsiung, where relevant authorities prohibit barbecuing in parks and green spaces, residents might consider barbecuing in front of their homes or community courtyards, and can also take some time to visit the Yellow Duck at Glory Pier, which makes an appearance during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

7. Shuangxi Right Bank Riverside Park: Circular plaza 30 meters upstream of Yunong Bridge

8. Yuanshan Riverside Park: Designated area around the skating rink

9. Chengmei Left Bank Riverside Park (Nangang & Songshan sides): Slope protection platform from 50 meters upstream of Rainbow Bridge to Chengmei Bridge

10. Chengmei Right Bank Riverside Park (Neihu side): Slope protection platform from 50 meters upstream of Rainbow Bridge to Chengmei Bridge

11. Dajia Riverside Park: Designated area under Dazhi Bridge
