The “TaiKai Xinpuyu Smart Ecological Park” in Xinpuyu Township, Hsinchu County, has welcomed over 90,000 visitors since its opening on January 29. On the first day of the Spring Festival, more than 20,000 people visited the park. It was initially planned that today would be the last day for spring garden tours in Xinpuyu. However, on the 4th, TaiKai announced that the park will open for free once again during the Lantern Festival holidays on February 11 and 12, giving those who haven’t visited yet another chance to explore.

The park’s biggest highlight is its pioneering use of an app-based digital guide, offering visitors an immersive experience through 12 hidden gems within Xinpuyu Garden. These include the Hundred Sparrows Garden, the foot soaking pavilion, the orchid greenhouse, the camellia exhibition, the habitat of the blue magpie, the “Shang Shan Ruo Shui” pond, the Temple of Wang Chan Lao Zu, the SA hotel-style apartments, and the herb garden. It is worth noting that the food truck area and the camellia area will not be open this time, with only the peacock, hot spring, and orchid areas accessible to the public.
In addition, the Xinpuyu Smart Ecological Park will eventually house establishments such as the Le Méridien Hotel. Due to construction safety considerations, it is currently assessed that the park will be temporarily closed. It will reopen periodically in the future in conjunction with events.
