Another luxurious railway journey is here! Recently, in addition to the launch of Japan's top sleeper train "Seven Stars in Kyushu," the British luxury train "Royal Scotsman" will also debut a brand-new journey in 2014, traveling through iconic cities between Edinburgh and London, allowing travelers to explore the charm, famous cities, and captivating scenery of Britain. The journey will include classic attractions such as Sandringham House, Alnwick Castle, and the "city of academia," Cambridge.

The new three-night "Majestic England" journey will depart from Edinburgh on August 11 and September 8, 2014. The first stop will be Alnwick Castle, where travelers can join a private guided tour to visit the residence of the Duke of Northumberland and the Percy family, which has been inhabited for over 700 years. Subsequently, the charming Edwardian-style train will continue westward, traversing the rolling North Yorkshire Moors, visiting the historic city of York, and then arriving in Norfolk. Upon disembarking, guests can attend an exclusive private welcome reception at the Queen’s residence—Sandringham Palace—and enjoy a leisurely stroll in the enchanting surroundings.
The train will then head to the mid-Norfolk railway line near the tranquil town of Dereham, where dinner will be served on board, followed by dancing. The train will depart from Norfolk heading south to the capital, London, with a stop in Cambridge—the location of one of the world’s most renowned universities—where guests can also experience punting along the River Cam and admire the splendor of several top colleges.

This three-night journey starts at $5,432 USD per person (approximately NT$160,000). On the other hand, the new four-night "Classic Golf Tour" will depart from Edinburgh on May 18 and September 22, 2014. Golf enthusiasts can tee off on three of Scotland’s most prestigious and picturesque courses, including Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart—which has hosted the Scottish Open for three consecutive years—and Cruden Bay. Guests may also choose to stay for three nights at the Gleneagles Hotel & Spa and take to the championship course that will host the 2014 Ryder Cup, creating an extraordinary golfing experience.
In addition to the above journeys, the Royal Scotsman will also, upon request, present the "Classic Whisky Tour," "Country Homes and Gardens Tour," and "Grand Tour of Britain" again in 2014. All journeys on the Royal Scotsman come with a range of all-inclusive experiences. Guests may also opt to stay for two nights at The Goring Hotel London before or after any journey, with bed and breakfast pricing starting from $671 USD per person (approximately NT$20,000).
