This morning, news broke of the rupture of Taoyuan’s yellow duck, leaving many duck fans heartbroken. Upon learning of the damage, Taoyuan County Magistrate Wu Den-yih immediately borrowed a yellow duck from Kaohsiung to continue the exhibition in Taoyuan, and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu also agreed to lend it earlier today. As for the yellow duck borrowed from Kaohsiung, it will be inflated depending on weather conditions, provided the weather permits.

According to official information from the Taoyuan Land Art Festival, due to yesterday’s strong earthquake, power supply was disrupted. After emergency repairs, the vendor resumed inflation today, but the duck was damaged when sudden gusts of wind intensified during the process. The site will be closed to visitors today. As for the borrowed Kaohsiung yellow duck, weather conditions will be assessed, and inflation will take place on a suitable day so that duck fans can enjoy the ducks splashing around in Xinyi.
