In 2012, the high-speed rail company assisted with the Japanese star Matsushige Yutaka and others' "The Silent Forest," a Japanese documentary filmed on the island of Taiwan, and during that period, they captured several minutes of footage on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail. After meticulous editing and refinement, the essence of the high-speed rail was presented in the documentary. The film was officially selected as a competition entry at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, bringing imagery of Taiwan's high-speed rail onto the international stage.
The high-speed rail company stated that starting now, it has specially set up a display cabinet at Taipei Station and Zuoying Station showcasing behind-the-scenes footage of the filming of "Billions" on the high-speed rail, displaying Matsushige Yutaka and others' train tickets and receipts, and also presenting the "Billions" movie poster and the high-speed rail "silent companion" concept posters.
At the same time, the high-speed rail company has also collaborated with the "See Taiwan" team to promote the 2013 Golden Horse Award Best Documentary nominated film "See Taiwan," providing high-speed rail passengers with "The Beauty of Taiwan" movie early bird coupons, hoping more people can gain a deeper understanding of this land we live on and work together to protect Taiwan through this film directed by renowned aerial photographer Qi Linbo, which records the beauty of Taiwan from various perspectives entirely through helicopter aerial photography.
