The Yellow Duck in Kaohsiung unexpectedly deflated; duck exhibition area closed today

Last week’s shocking explosion of the Yellow Duck was followed by another unexpected deflation last night! The Yellow Duck from Kaohsiung, which came to stand in solidarity and take over the display in Taoyuan, was originally scheduled to deflate at 5:00 this morning for submersion operations, but at 21:50 last night, it went off duty early due to the blower stopping. As for when the Yellow Duck will be displayed again, it will return to the pond depending on the weather conditions.

The Yellow Duck that traveled all the way from Kaohsiung to stand in for the Taoyuan Land Art Festival was inflated and displayed onshore the day before yesterday (November 2). However, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman insisted that the duck should be displayed in the water, so it was originally scheduled to be moved back to the pond at 16:00 yesterday (November 3), but the move was postponed to 5:00 this morning due to strong winds in Xinyi. Yet at 21:50 last night, the Yellow Duck gradually deflated due to the blower stopping and went off duty early, with the new display date to be determined based on weather conditions. Other exhibition areas of the Taoyuan Land Square Art Festival are operating as usual.
