New Taipei Christmas Town lights up on Nov. 22, limited-edition Christmas bears given away for check-ins

Starting from the lighting night of New Taipei Christmas Town on November 22, the carousel and coffee cup rides at the Civic Plaza in New Taipei City will begin entertaining children. Then, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 23 and 24, the “Childlike Christmas Kids’ Theater” will feature all 14 YOYO family members, along with cartoon characters, the If Kids Drama Troupe, and stars from the “Moe Academy,” delivering delightful Christmas shows for audiences of all ages.

 

The “A Kid’s Stroll” on November 30 invites children and their parents to explore the beautiful light zone along a designated route. Registration is now open on the official website of the 2013 New Taipei Christmas Town event, with 500 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. On December 14, there will be an exciting circus parade led by the New Taipei City Mounted Police and band, featuring the New Elephant Creation Troupe with dazzling acrobatics, the YOYO family leading SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Squidward—the three big stars—and cartoon characters, the adorable mascots of E-Da World traveling all the way from Kaohsiung, as well as the Postal Service Motorcycle Team composed of “Green Angels.” It’s a lively parade competition.

 

Additionally, this large-scale amusement park that is Christmas Town naturally includes a variety of rides. In addition to the carousel and coffee cup rides that will accompany children throughout the event period from November 22 to January 5 of next year, the Civic Plaza will add the Doodoo Forest Train and cute spinning airplanes on November 22, 23, and 24. From December 14 to January 1, the “Rascals’ Winter Fun Park” at Wanping Park and the Station Front Square will feature inflatable castles, track trains, and other diverse amusement facilities. The highly anticipated 2013 limited-edition Christmas bears will also be given away starting from the lighting and opening of the town on November 22. The “Love & X’mas Tree” will give out 30 pairs of 4T Christmas bears daily from November 22 to December 25. The “Popular Christmas Card—Check-in and Share to Get a Limited Edition Bear” event will give away 120 4T bears per day from Mondays to Fridays between November 25 and January 5 of next year, while supplies last.
