As December approaches, Christmas celebrations and dazzling light displays around the world are gradually lighting up. Singapore’s famous Orchard Road is already bustling on regular days, but when the Christmas light-up begins, it attracts an even greater influx of visitors from around the globe. This year’s Orchard Road light-up will be illuminated at 6:00 PM on November 23, and the event will run until January 5, 2014.

On the evening of the light-up ceremony, local school groups will take turns performing various acts, while local jazz bands will also join in the festivities. From 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, they will add warmth and excitement to this tropical Christmas town. Nearby shopping malls along Orchard Road will also be decked out in spectacular festive lights, transforming this bustling shopping boulevard into a Christmas market in the tropics.
