Malaysian singing legend Wu Qixian’s concert in Genting Hong Kong invites six major charitable organizations to enjoy

Inviting six major charitable organizations including the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families and the Taiwan Losheng Sanatorium Foundation, as well as beneficiary families, to enjoy Wu Qixian’s “Those Years We Sang Love Songs Together” concert tour is intended to let these groups feel Genting Hong Kong’s wish to bring joy to more people through the moving voice and dazzling sound-and-light performances of the love song king – Wu Qixian.

 

Wu Qixian is the first singer in the current Mandopop scene to be publicly recognized and praised as the “Malaysian Singing God” by the Malaysian government. To celebrate Genting Hong Kong’s 20th anniversary, Genting Hong Kong specially invited the Singing God Wu Qixian to hold the “Those Years We Sang Love Songs Together” Asian concert tour across the Star Cruises fleet and select Asian cities. When Wu Qixian held his concert tour at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in July this year, over 15,000 fans attended. This time, moving the event to Taipei Arena, Wu Qixian said he felt a bit nervous about returning home, as he is a son-in-law of Taiwan and rose to fame starting from Taiwan — Taiwan can be considered his second hometown, and Taiwanese fans are his most important family in life. To thank his family for their years of support, he personally handled everything from song selection, band arrangements, to stage sound, lighting, and visuals for this concert, leaving nothing to others. In addition, to continue the love song theme of the concert and create a program highlight, he also specially invited the long-absent-from-the-music-scene “Three Beauties of Flying Eagles” – Qiu Haizheng, Fang Wenlin, and Annie Yi, as well as the long-time-absent idol drama queen Huang Jiaqian and the long unseen love song prince Li Feihui, all to serve as special guests for the concert, aiming to allow fans to relive the once-in-a-lifetime moment when love songs were sung in unison by massive crowds.
