The Joyful Christmas Concert: Jolin Tsai and Show Luo Close with High Energy, Revitalizing New Taipei City

The 2013 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City today unveiled a stellar lineup surpassing the scale of New Year's Eve concerts and the Taipei Arena, with four "Joy Night" concerts led by EDM queen Jolin Tsai, ballad prince JJ Lin, diva Jolin Tsai, and king Show Luo, joined by 32 artists including Da Mouth, Yen-j, Huang Xiao-hu, and MP Magic Power. Top-tier pop stars from the Taipei Arena level will close the shows, ready to electrify the New Taipei City Happy Christmas City.

The four "Joy Night Christmas Concerts" will be held on December 7, 8, 21, and 22 at the New Taipei City Civic Plaza. Each concert features a strong lineup including Xu Jia Ling, Jiang Mei Qi, Stanley Huang, Dream Girls, Yang Pei An, Guang Liang, and more, promising an energetic night for all. For those unable to attend in person, the organizers have arranged live streaming on ETTV, as well as simulcasts on Good Radio and YouTube (December 7 & 8, 6:30 PM–9:30 PM; December 21 & 22, 6:00 PM–10:00 PM).

 

In addition to the star-studded concerts and online giveaway events, the New Taipei City Government Fans Group is also running a lucky draw promotion. From November 26 to December 23, visitors can log in to the New Taipei City Fans event page, select their favorite star, and leave a comment saying, “I want to party with them at the 2013 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City this Christmas!” to win limited-edition Christmas gifts, including autographed albums from Jolin Tsai, Show Luo, Jolin Tsai, and JJ Lin.

 

Besides the concerts featuring top stars and the online giveaway, the New Taipei City Government will host a Christmas Circus Street Carnival in Banqiao District on December 14. The parade, led by the dashing New Taipei City Mounted Police, will include YOYO Family members, cartoon stars like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Squidward, the New Image Creative Theater Troupe, corporate mascots, and more—forming a grand procession of about 600 people. The parade will start at 3:00 PM on December 14, marching along Chongqing Road, turning onto Zhongshan Road, and ending at Civic Plaza.

 

To ensure smooth access to the event venue and safe return home, the New Taipei City Government will implement traffic controls around the area (including sections of Zhongshan Road, Chongqing Road, and Xinzhan Road) during the street carnival and concert periods.
