The ice sculpture exhibition “World of Ice,” handcrafted by a team of ice art sculptors from Harbin, is being grandly displayed at The Venetian Macao for the third consecutive year from today until March 16, 2014. This year’s “Experience Dream Factory: World of Ice” features popular DreamWorks animation characters, iconic Macau landmarks, and award-winning works from a community painting competition. These transform the Cotai Strip Resort into a magnificent winter wonderland, complete with enchanting and fantastical lighting, a dazzling giant Christmas tree, an outdoor ice rink made of real snow, a winter market, a lineup of exciting performances, and a spectacular large-scale 3D light projection show.

This largest indoor ice sculpture exhibition in Asia returns triumphantly to The Venetian Macao after achieving unprecedented success in the past two years. This year’s exhibition is once again created by renowned ice sculptors from Heilongjiang Snow Art Development Co., Ltd. in Harbin, themed around the unique “Experience Dream Factory,” allowing visitors to admire some of the most beloved characters from the animated world transformed into lifelike ice artworks.

Visitors to the ice sculpture exhibition can explore seven different themed zones, embarking on a magical ice adventure in sub-zero temperatures of minus 8 degrees Celsius. The themed areas showcase large ice sculptures of famous Macau landmarks and DreamWorks animated characters such as Shrek, Princess Fiona, Alex and his friends from “Madagascar,” and Po from “Kung Fu Panda.” The family-friendly ice slide is sure to bring added thrills and excitement.
In addition, two new characters joining “The Cotai Strip – Experience Dream Factory” — Tigress from “Kung Fu Panda” and Belt from “The Croods” — will make their first appearances in “Experience Dream Factory: World of Ice.” Beyond being featured as ice sculptures, visitors can also interact with them at Sands Cotai Central. Tigress will appear starting today at the “Experience Dream Factory” Animation Stars Breakfast, spreading joy and taking photos with guests alongside her DreamWorks friends.
