The "Happy Flower Fields" event welcomes yellow rubber ducks as visitors enjoy the vibrant floral landscapes in Kaohsiung

The annual "Happy Flower Fields" series in Qiaotou has entered its 7th year, successfully attracting thousands of visitors every year, with last year’s turnout reaching 600,000. This year, the Qiaotou District Office has planted over 40 hectares of flowers such as cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers, and marigolds, arranging them into five giant floral-themed motifs. The blooming period runs from now until December 8.

Besides the main flower field area, a 1,200-meter-long sunflower sea has been planted along Provincial Highway 1 from Rainbow Bridge to the McDonald's on Qiaoxin 6th Road. Along the way, visitors can spot various installations. Many people take advantage of the weekend to cycle through the fields or fly kites of all kinds, enjoying a leisurely and relaxing time. During the event, the organizers also provide free shuttle services from Exit 2 of Kaohsiung MRT Qiaotou Station to make flower viewing more convenient. Nearby shops have also launched various promotional offers to complement the event. After enjoying the floral beauty of Qiaotou, visitors can also take a tour of the old sugar refinery to relive the prosperity of Qiaotou’s sugar industry.
