This year’s 2014 Northeast Coast “Welcome the First Light, Win at the Start” First Light Party not only features an expanded lineup of 7 music acts, but the main stage performances will also kick off earlier than ever, starting at 2:30 AM on New Year’s Day. With such a stellar lineup, it’s definitely the most impressive to date. The event will be hosted by top models Yu Ping-yen from Eelin Model Management — Taiwan’s leading celebrity factory in the fashion industry — and Chen Chieh-lun, the champion of the first Brilliant Star competition. Renowned LUXY nightclub resident DJ Ray Ray will provide the warm-up; other exciting acts include Taiwan’s most explosive heavy rock band O.V.D.S., cross-strait sensation Lin Hsin-yi from the Wei Zhong Production group, Tao Yuzhen, Taiwan’s dynamic pop rockers 3rd Generation, Malaysia’s romantic ballad king Alien Huang, and the legendary Taiwanese punk rock band TOLAKU, who made a comeback recently with sold-out reunion concert tickets. With the most electrifying rhythms and most spectacular performances, this party is guaranteed to rock the house!

Moreover, the “First Light Party” also incorporates popular cultural and creative elements, gathering an impressive array of 16 food truck breakfast stations offering a variety of Chinese and Western breakfast options. On the first day of the new year, participants are in for a boost of vitality and energy. Online registration for the event will officially open at 9:00 AM on December 13. There is a limit of 1000 online registrations, and those who successfully sign up will receive a complimentary First Financial Group First Light Gift Pack, which includes round-trip train tickets from Taipei to Fulong on January 1, 2014, a mysterious First Light gift, and a Rock ‘n’ Roll Breakfast voucher. Train tickets can be collected between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on December 26 and 27 by presenting your ID document with a national ID number and the successful online registration confirmation code at the First Financial Group Building (1F, 30 Section 1, Chongqing S. Rd., Taipei). Other gifts can be claimed at the event venue on the day. Additionally, starting now, you can visit the event’s official website to play the First Light mini-game. The top 200 ranked players as of December 18 can redeem a special souvenir at the event.
 
To support the event with faster, more convenient, and safer transportation, Taiwan Railways Administration will operate 5 special First Light trains departing at 1:45 AM to 3:30 AM on January 1, 2014 (Year 103), starting from Banqiao. These trains will make stops only at Taipei, Songshan, Nangang, and Fulong. In addition, to allow the public to further explore the beauty of the Northeast Coast, the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area Administration recommends several quality travel routes, including cycling tours along various lengths of routes passing through the Old Caoling Tunnel and Yanliao Seaside Park, even extending to Sandiaojiao; gourmet seafood tours at fishing harbors along the Northeast Coast; spiritual renewal journeys at the Lingjiu Mountain New Year Prayer Trip; as well as in-depth geological tours.
