Hsinchu County’s New Year’s Eve Party Features Showstopper Wu Bai & 333-Second Fireworks Spectacular to Ring in the New Year

The 2014 Hsinchu County New Year’s Eve Party will be hosted by Jacky Chen and Da Ya, with performances by rock icon Wu Bai & China Blue, Dream Girls, Lala Hsu, JPM, Power Station, Dark White Collar Class, Comedy King Show’s Fang Ning, Nikita, and more. An all-star lineup will count down the new year with you. The event will feature powerful drumming by U-Theatre, a headline performance by Wu Bai, and major prizes like a Hyundai.

 

The evening will also showcase the Nanzhu Pickle Bucket Percussion Troupe, winners of the 2013 Ministry of Culture Village Theater “Best Performance Award,” highlighting local culture and energy. The show will kick off with a powerful performance by U-Theatre, followed by hilarious impersonations of Teresa Teng and Jolin Tsai by the Comedy King Show singers, and soulful Hakka songs by Dark White Collar Class. Artists Dream Girls and JPM will join Hsinchu County Magistrate Chiu in health lion costumes to kick off the New Year’s Day flag-raising and Creative Walk on Guangming 6th Road. As the countdown begins, the fireworks spectacular will treat the crowd to a feast for the senses, and Wu Bai & China Blue will bring the evening to a thrilling climax with a 45-minute rock performance — guaranteed to electrify the night.

 

The prize draw at this year’s New Year’s Eve Party is packed with exciting giveaways, including SYM motorcycles, 42T LCD TVs, Bluetooth speakers, and the grand prize: a Hyundai Elantra. The car draw will take place after Wu Bai’s performance — participants must present a ticket to claim their prize. Draw tickets can be exchanged for one invoice from November or December 2013 at the event information desk starting at 6:00 PM, with a limit of five tickets per person per exchange. Additionally, starting at 8:00 PM, one invoice can be exchanged for one glow stick, with a limit of two per person.

 

After the New Year’s Eve Party, welcome the new year with Hsinchu County Government’s New Year’s Day Flag-Raising Ceremony and Guangming 6th Zoo Creative Walk. Invite your friends and family — come dressed in animal costumes and bring your pets to join the flag-raising at 6:30 AM on January 1st at the county government plaza. Then continue the fun with a creative walk along Hsinchu’s Champs-Élysées — Guangming 6th Road — in your animal outfits with loved ones and pets. On New Year’s Day, 2,000 spots will be available for on-site registration. Participants who complete all four checkpoints will receive the top prize: a collectible 2014 national flag scarf designed by Hsinchu County Government. The final checkpoint will feature a mobile post office where you can share health and happiness with loved ones by mail.
