Must-See Visit Info: Yuan Zai to Meet Visitors Next Week

With “Yuan Zai” about to make its debut, how can visitors ensure they get to see the giant panda? The Taipei Zoo work team has been continuously testing. To allow visitors entering at 9:00 AM to reach the Giant Panda House by 9:10 smoothly, staff confirm that the ticketing machines are functioning properly and group reservation tickets are set before the park opens each morning. They also prepare tickets for the first viewing slot from 9:10 to 9:20, which are distributed at the entrance gate when the zoo opens for those visiting the Giant Panda exhibit.

 

Each viewing session allows 400 visitors within a 10-minute time slot, with a maximum daily capacity of 19,200 people. Visitors taking the Maokong Gondola can collect their tickets at the Zoo Station entrance, with 50 slots available for them starting at 10:10 each session. Entry tickets are distributed by staff in order of viewing time slots. Please keep your tickets safe and enter according to the designated time on your ticket. Latecomers must queue in the “Late Waiting Area,” and management will allow a suitable number of additional entrants based on the queue situation (tickets still required).

 

Ticket distribution information is displayed on the zoo’s official website, the electronic marquee at the main entrance, and the Visitor Service Center. Since staff prepare the first session’s tickets before opening, this information is simultaneously shown on all media platforms at 9:10 AM.

 

During the Lunar New Year holiday from the first to the fifth day (January 31 to February 4), viewing times start 30 minutes earlier, and an additional 1,200 visitors can be accommodated daily to see the giant pandas. On New Year’s Eve, January 30, the zoo is closed. The Giant Panda House will be closed on Monday, February 17, for cleaning. Before entering, please stow away food, keep noise levels low, and turn off camera flash to ensure a pleasant visit for everyone and a happy life for “Tuan Tuan,” “Yuan Yuan,” and “Yuan Zai.”
