Shop for New Year goods at the World Trade Center—get festive dishes and gifts all in one go

Most of the exhibitors are award-winning or popular stores, including Yichang Yufang, a veteran shop from Nanmen Market with over 50 years of history; Qingqing Fashionable Garden Club, which has won the Gold Award at the Taipei Chinese Gourmet Exhibition; Litingxiang, a century-old pastry shop on Dihua Street; Guoyuan Yi, the champion of the Taipei Pineapple Cake Culture Festival; Zhou Laobaba Fashionable Pastry Shop, a renowned gift store in Taipei; Ruan's Dried Meat, a 30-year-old store from Huannan Market; and Taipei Underground Street, among nearly 40 well-known shops.

 

During the exhibition period, each store is offering popular items and various promotional deals. For example, Qingqing Fashionable Garden’s “Golden Ding Creative Feast Set,” cooked by a world culinary championship-winning chef, is originally priced at NT$10,999 but is now available at a discounted price of NT$6,999. The “Yichang Family Reunion Set,” which includes 11 of Yichang Yufang’s most popular annual dishes, their perennial bestseller “rock sugar lotus root,” and the uniquely created “Heart Too Soft” dessert with red date-stuffed taro paste and glutinous rice filling, comes with a free NT$1,000 worth of spicy pig’s blood tofu and two specially made zongzi when purchased. Century-old shop Litingxiang offers “Peace Turtle Gift Boxes” and “Blessing Gift Boxes,” which carry meanings of longevity and peace. Customers spending over NT$1,000 on any items will receive a limited-edition “Peace Turtle Lantern” (while supplies last, limited to 100 sets). Guoyuan Yi’s “Handmade Classic Pineapple Cakes” are discounted from the original price of NT$300 to NT$200 for a limited run of 100 sets, with a limit of one box per person, and buy-one-get-one-free promotions on selected items.

 

To blend nostalgic and innovative elements of Taipei, the Taipei City Department of Commerce also showcases items in the image area such as past editions of lucky fortune money, dishes served at the Thousand-Year Banquet, century-old teahouse gifts from Youji Tea, blessings from the City God Temple of Xiahei, the origins of Dadaocheng, and the creation of Little Taipei, highlighting the festive atmosphere, praying customs, and New Year shopping spirit of Taipei.

 

Additionally, three major promotional bonuses are offered during the event. The first is a limited run of 600 “Lucky Fortune Money” packs, which include not only the “fortune money” but also, for the first time, scratch cards with New Year goods as prizes. The second is the “New Year Goods Monopoly Game,” where visitors can exchange a receipt showing purchases totaling NT$300 or more from any four different stores in the Taipei Theme Pavilion on the same day for a scratch card, with a chance to win New Year goods prizes worth up to NT$10,000. In response to the opening of the Xinyi Line and to encourage people to take the MRT for their New Year shopping, the third bonus gives customers who present their receipts and EasyCards a limited “Free MRT Ride Coupon” and a “Taipei Pavilion Exclusive Cool Card.”
